Company is a global supplier of chemical compounds for scientific research, pharmaceutical discovery, and development programs in the agro-industrial, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. As one of Ukraine’s leading research companies in fine organic synthesis and the development of preparative synthesis methods, Chemical Supplier collaborates with top-tier pharmaceutical and biotech firms, as well as research institutions across Europe, North America, Australia, China, and Japan.

The objective of this project was to provide Chemical Supplier with expert guidance and support in preparing non-financial reports in alignment with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.

Project objectives

The assignment included the following key tasks:

Providing recommendations on the concept and structure of the non-financial report, including guidance on forming an internal working group

Supporting the identification and analysis of stakeholders and effective communication methods

Assisting with the materiality assessment—identifying the most relevant topics and impacts for disclosure in the report

Reviewing the main content of the draft report (text, infographics, tables) and offering recommendations for improvement

Advising on effective ways to present the final report to relevant stakeholders

Results and main conclusions of the study

Under this assignment, AVG carried out all tasks in line with the project objectives. Specifically:

Recommendations were provided for developing the report concept and establishing an internal working group to coordinate the reporting process;
Chemical Supplier received support in mapping its key stakeholders and assessing appropriate communication methods;
AVG facilitated a materiality assessment, helping to identify core topics and impacts for inclusion in the report;
The main draft of the report was reviewed, with practical suggestions given for enhancing the narrative, visual presentation, and data tables;
Additional guidance was provided on how to effectively present the report to internal and external stakeholders.

These efforts helped lay the foundation for Chemical Supplier’s transparent non-financial reporting, aligned with international best practices.
