GOLDBECK SOLAR is a global leader in the turnkey construction of industrial, commercial, and utility-scale solar power plants. The company operates in 12 countries and has completed solar installations across 20 countries, offering a full value chain from project development to technical operation and asset management. As part of its commitment to international best practices and sustainability, Goldbeck Solar Investment GmbH initiated the implementation of an Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) for both its parent operations and its Ukrainian branch.
The assignment aimed to design and implement ESMS aligned with international standards. Key tasks included:
Defining the scope of the ESMS and the core processes to be covered
Reviewing compliance with applicable environmental, social, and health & safety (EHS) legislation
Developing a detailed ESMS implementation plan, outlining tasks, responsibilities, timelines, and potential implementation risks
Creating required documentation, including policies, procedures, instructions, and operational forms
Preparing training materials and conducting employee training sessions on ESMS elements and requirements
Organizing awareness-raising activities to promote a shared understanding of ESMS objectives among all employees
Recommending and preparing for internal audit mechanisms to ensure system effectiveness and continuous improvement
Under this assignment, AVG successfully developed and implemented a functional ESMS tailored to the needs of both the parent and Ukrainian branches of Goldbeck Solar. Specific outcomes included:
