M10 Industrial Park E&S Review
Client:
The M10 Lviv Industrial Park is an industrial park, located in the industrial zone of Lviv’s Ryasne-2 neighborhood. The Project is being implemented by Dragon Capital and is aimed at creating a modern industrial zone for production, logistics and warehouse facilities. International Financial Institutions (IFIs) have already invested in Phase 1 of the Project. Further Phases require additional investment, which the Company wishes to acquire as a result of effective cooperation with Norfund.
The main objective of the assignment was to independently review and verify the project against the reference framework, identify compliance gaps, necessary mitigation and follow-up actions, and develop a managing/monitoring regime and an environmental and social action plan. Specific areas of review included:
environmental impact management;
social impact management;
health and safety management;
human resources management (including human rights and labor standards);
community engagement;
impacts of the war.
AVG carried out a review of the Company’s environmental and social documentation. An initial kick-off meeting was held with Company’s representatives to clarify the scope of the assignment, review the information already available, and identify the specific requirements outlined in the Project framework.
Desktop study was conducted which included thorough review of all relevant environmental, social, and health and safety Project documents and information, including media search to identify relevant news coverage about the Company and the Project.
Site visit to the M10 facility was conducted to verify information acquired during the desktop study process. Meetings with relevant individuals/entities associated with the Project were held.
Based on these findings, AVG prepared the following key deliverables:
· Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP).
