MHP Group, Ukraine’s largest producer of poultry, grain, and feed, has launched a cooperation initiative with AVG to certify its logistics branch in accordance with the ISO 39001 international standard on Road Traffic Safety Management Systems. To achieve this, preparatory work was required, including the analysis of current practices, staff training, development of key documentation, identification of gaps, and the creation of a clear roadmap toward certification.
The main objective of the assignment was to lay the groundwork for implementing a road safety management system aligned with ISO 39001. The high-level scope of work included:
Baseline Audit – Conducting an initial audit of existing road traffic safety measures and comparing them against international best practices
Risk Identification and Prioritization – Identifying major occupational road safety risks and prioritizing areas for improvement, followed by the development of an action plan outlining required efforts (e.g., financial, human, and technical resources; implementation timeline).
Road Safety Toolkit Development – Creating a practical toolkit for the Company, including basic procedures, risk analysis, reporting mechanisms, training requirements, and integration with the corporate Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS).
Driver Training – Delivering targeted training sessions to improve driving behavior and techniques.
